According to , Chiesa could fit into a new role at Liverpool in the 2025-26 campaign after starting as a No.9 in the club's first pre-season friendly against Preston last weekend.

Liverpool are short of options in the No.9 role as Darwin Nunez could move out this summer, while Luis Diaz has attracted strong interest from Bayern Munich. The Reds will be willing to let both players leave if the right offers arrive. As a result, selling Chiesa in the summer transfer window is seemingly not an option for the English champions.
