Kiko Casilla has been in very questionable form as of late.

The Spaniard has made three high-profile errors in recent weeks against Wigan, Brentford and Nottingham Forest, and the fanbase have been very critical of the goalkeeper.

Indeed, supporters have been on his back for weeks at this point, but they were made to eat their words on Saturday.

The Spaniard didn’t have too much to do against the Royals, as they had just two shots on target, but he dealt with everything that came his way, including one vital save in the last minute.

The 33-year-old was forced into action late on as Reading threatened to equalise, but the stopper made a vital save to keep United ahead.

It was a true redemption story for Casilla after weeks of costing Leeds points he single-handedly kept them in a game that has seen them move five points clear of third place.

Of course, his save drew a reaction from the fanbase, and it seems as though supporters have now forgiven him for his previous mistakes.

Some joked that they’d always rated the 6 foot 3 stopper, while another stated that he’d redeemed himself.

Another section of the fanbase believe that it’d be sod’s law if Casilla is now handed a ban after showing a bit of form.

The Spaniard has been at an FA hearing this week, and if he is found guilty of racism he will be handed a minimum six-game ban.
