Hamdy Nouh, coach of Egyptian outfit El Mokawloon – where he managed Mohamed Elneny – has stated that the Arsenal midfielder needs to leave the Emirates Stadium for his own good, even if it is only on a loan basis, as reported by the Evening Standard.
What’s the word?
Elneny has been on the fringes of the Gunners’ first team this season. Despite having made 13 appearances in the Premier League last season for the north London club, he has been handed only one league outing this time around.

The regular game time the 69-cap Egypt international had under Arsene Wenger appears of have gone with the arrival of Unai Emery at Arsenal. To get back to playing the regular football that the 26-year-old needs, he must surely seek pastures new.
Plenty of Premier League clubs would be wise to try and sign the midfielder on a loan deal in January. Newcastle United must do all they can to win the race to the midfielder’s signature.
Good for all involved
The Magpies lack quality depth in midfield. If Rafa Benitez is to guide the Tyneside giants to Premier League safety he will require reinforcements in January. Elneny represents an unmissable opportunity for Newcastle to acquire a top class, experienced player in an affordable manner.
For the sake of his own career, Elneny needs to get back to playing regularly. He is extremely unlikely to get that opportunity at Arsenal, whereas he’d likely become an immediate starter at St James’ Park.
As long as the Gunners are willing to let Elneny go, this is a deal that would suit all involved.
