According to reports in The Mirror, new West Ham United manager David Moyes wants to make Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back Lewis Dunk his first signing during the January transfer window, and Irons fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
The Mirror says that the Scot is looking for a new central defender in order to strengthen a leaky backline that currently has the worst record in the Premier League this season, having conceded 23 goals in 11 games.
However, the report adds that the Seagulls will likely demand a huge fee for the 25-year-old – who only signed a new five-year deal in August – which could put him out of the east London outfit’s reach.
West Ham supporters took to social media to have their say on the transfer story, and while one said the club has “got to go for Dunk”, another believes “it’ll never ever happen” because of his affiliation with the south coast side.
