Despite the massive injury blow, United remain hopeful that the Cameroon custodian will be able to regain full fitness before the start of the season and feature in Amorim's starting line-up against the Gunners in their curtain-raiser. In case Onana doesn't make it before the season opener, his deputy Altay Bayindir will fill in. The other options that Amorim has at his disposal are veteran Tom Heaton, who recently signed a contract extension, and 21-year-old Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek.
