Barcelona’s day suddenly got a lot worse and for once, it’s not about Neymar Junior.

RAC1, usually a really reliable source for all things Barcelona, came out with news that Lionel Messi’s injury has taken a turn for the worse and that the Blaugrana’s star player will be out for longer than expected – potentially another month.

Messi has already missed the first two clashes against Athletic Bilbao and Real Betis but was recovering well and everything pointed towards a quick return to action.

Still, if this news is to be believed, we won’t be seeing the Argentine on the pitch for a while longer.

And it’s safe to say that the news left most of the Barcelona fans in disbelief as they were all looking forward to seeing the little magician play after a while out. Messi has been carrying this injury since he returned back from his holiday.

Luckily for Barcelona, though, it seems that the extent of the injury is not as bad as was initially thought but Messi will take somewhat longer to return nonetheless.
