Turner gifted Dusan Kulusevski a goal in Forest’s last outing, with a poor clearance and weak hands when a shot was fired straight at him, and Reds boss Steve Cooper told reporters afterwards when asked about the glaring error: “The players will support him. But at the same time we all have to own the things we can do better. Sometimes they will be individual moments, sometimes they will be collective things. Now is not the time for anyone to delve too much into it. But we will review things with the players as we do. But, of course, it is not something that should happen at this level.”
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Cooper added on Turner’s mistake costing Forest dear in a game that they were well in at the time, and in which they would see Spurs reduced to 10 men with Yves Bissouma later dismissed: “The second goal was a real momentum killer. To give away a goal of that fashion at any level… then there was the timing of it as well. We were having a good phase in the game so to give away a goal like that was a killer for us, in terms of trying to get back into the game.”

Forest will be back in action at home to Bournemouth on December 23, when Turner will discover his fate. There have already been calls for the Reds to dip into the January transfer market for another keeper, with the options currently available to them struggling to convince.
